USO Schwab I January Storytime with Schwab

USO Schwab will host Storytime with Schwab, a USO Reading Program that pairs military children with a “Schwab Reading Buddy” for story time and crafts centralized around a book theme, on Friday, January 21st, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. The event takes place at Camp Courtney at the former USO Building near the baseball fields and registration is required and limited. Registration information can be found on our Facebook events page during the month of January.

DETAILS: Join us and our special Schwab Reading Buddies as we pair forward-deployed service members and military children together for story time and a craft. Each child will take home a craft and a copy of their new book. This month’s theme is focused around Winter. We will be reading One Snowy Day by Diana Murray, and will then be making our very own snowy craft.

• This program will take place at the former Camp Courtney USO building on Camp Courtney on January 21st, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

• We ask that only one parent attends per family to save space and allow for attempted social distancing. We have plenty of volunteers to work with the kids. That means this event is for you too, Parents! Relax, grab a snack, and socialize with other parents while we entertain the kids for awhile.

• Masks are required by all those in attendance, regardless of vaccination status.
