USO Hansen’s Annual Halloween Carnival brings Wonder to the Kin Community
11.7.2019 “Second Star to the Right and Straight on ‘til the Morning” Peter Pan, Hook, Tinker Bell and Wendy brought wonder and awe to the faces of Camp Hansen’s service members, families and neighborhood community with a trip to Neverland for USO Hansen’s Annual Halloween Carnival on October 31. With the support of Camp Hansen Community Relations Manager, Takayuki Kayo and volunteers from Nikkei Business School and 3d Battalion 3d Marine Regiment, USO Hansen transformed into the ultimate fun-land, providing caramel apple decorating, face painting, and spooky themed games to nine Japanese preschools and over 800 participants from areas including Kin, Ginoza, Onna and Uruma. “Community relations events at USO Hansen continue to grow, maintain and enrich our relationships with local community, creating fun and meaningful experiences for our residents,” Jamie Webb, USO Hansen Center Manager. “We always strive to leave a memorable impression on our military community,” To learn more about upcoming events at USO Hansen, please go to www.facebook.com/USOHansen or contact us at usohansen.web@uso.org
