Forty-Seventh Annual Service Salute Gala in honor of seven outstanding military members from the United States Armed Forces and the Japan Self-Defense Forces on Saturday, the Nineteenth of May Two Thousand and Eighteen at the Butler Officers’ Club on Plaza Housing, Okinawa, Japan.
In 1971, USO Okinawa held its inaugural premiere fundraising event. Forty-seven years later on May 19th, 2018, USO Okinawa will continue the tradition of honoring seven service men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and Japan Self-Defense Forces for their outstanding professionalism, leadership, service to country, and embodiment of the USO’s 8 core values. This black-tie event will feature the Firebird Drummers, a Kagami Biraki ceremony, dinner, and dancing.

For seventy-seven years, the USO has been providing morale, welfare, and recreational services to service members around the world. The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. The USO is a nonprofit, charitable organization that relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations to support its programs and services.
